Structural Engineering
Research is focussed on structural materials, design, and construction for new construction and repair of structures in the hydropower industry. It also deals with maintenance of structures with special regard to static and dynamic loads, load-bearing capacity, reliability, function and material durability. Erik Nordström, responsible for the research area, is employed at Vattenfall RD and adjunct professor/former senior researcher at the Division of Concrete Structures at KTH.
