Structural Engineering
The research focuses on structural materials, design and construction for new construction and repair of structures in the hydropower industry. It also deals with maintenance of structures with special regard to static and dynamic loads, bearing capacity, reliability, function and material durability. Erik Nordström, responsible for the area, is employed at Vattenfall R&D and adjunct professor/former senior researcher at the Division of Concrete Structures at KTH.
