Research in this area focuses on power system generators and how they should be designed, operated and controlled in interaction with other parts of the power system. New analytical methods make it possible to understand the different phenomena that occur and interact with the various components of the power system. Urban Lundin is a senior researcher in the SVC and professor at the Department of Electricity at Uppsala University.
