Geotechnics – Embankment Dams

Research focused on internal erosion processes and process understanding. It also deals with the design and long-term behaviour of tailings dams that are gradually built up in height and the mechanics of extremely angular material such as crushed rock. The research area is led by Jan Laue, Professor and Head of Division of Geotechnology, Department of Civil, Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering at Luleå University of Technology.
