Hydraulic Engineering

Research focussing on problems related to rivers and groundwater. The research consists of water resource planning with water regulation, internal erosion in embankment dams, high flows in streams, flow engineering calculations for spillways, groundwater and water quality issues related to various measures in embankment dams and streams. The area is run by Gunnar Hellström, Assistant Professor in Fluid Mechanics at the Department of Engineering Sciences and Mathematics, Luleå University of Technology.
